Electric Aeration Systems

Ponds take in excess nutrients over time from fertilizers, animal and fish wastes, decomposing debris (leaves, branches) etc. These nutrients are a food source for unsightly algae and weed growth. Buildup of nutrient rich sludge on the pond bottom causes nutrient cycling in an oxygen deprived environment, making the problem worse. Algae blooms cause off flavored fish, and algae dye offs can cause oxygen crashes that lead to fish kills.

Aeration provides vital oxygen right through the water column. Beneficial bacteria break down nutrients and sludge 80 times faster in an oxygen rich environment. Nutrient cycling is stopped and algae and weeds are starved of the food they need, providing clearer water, higher oxygen levels, and better tasting fish. An airline can easily be run 1500 ft from the compressor to the pond. See below for an example.
