Solar Direct Aeration Systems Our new Solar Aeration Systems are complete and ready to install. To keep the costs and maintenance down, they are Solar Direct so they are battery free and operate during full sunlight and light overcast conditions in summer, and in full sunlight in the winter. The only maintenance is cleaning the compressor's air filter quarterly. No power bills to pay! Please give us a call if you would like to come out for a demo as we have systems set up at the farm for viewing. These systems work well in conjunction with windmills in remote areas to get the benefits of aeration from both the sun and the wind. For the best possible water quality, if you are within 1500 feet of electrical power, we would recommend installing a 120V aeration system and trenching in airline to the pond.
